Past Skills Are Proof of Future Potential

Two things to remember next time you're struggling

In this clip from The Learner vs. The Knower: Which Identity is Holding You Back?, Trevor Ragan offers a simple reminder: every skill you have today is proof you can learn.

You can read, write, communicate, and do countless things you weren’t born knowing. You developed them. That history is evidence of your capacity to build new skills in the future. Growth mindset isn’t hoping you can learn - it’s recognizing that you already have.

Trevor introduces three ways to build this belief, including the Anti-Talent Show: pick something you can’t do, practice for 10 days, and prove to yourself you can grow.
