Thank you Patrick. That came at just the right time and was so enlightening. My vague ideas or feelings were transformed into clear sentences. I also read the book from Jamison and it also helped a lot with the reflection.
Anyway I'm 44 and now have a better view on my self and what truly matters than ever. Thanks also for all the podcasts last year. I have a 15min commute, so I hear your voices almost every day ;)
Thank you very much! 🤗 This is pure gold. It reminded me that I need to work on that again. While reading Focus by Dan Koe, I already started working on it. I created a vision and an anti-vision, as well as a framework and values. Then, I challenged all of that with AI. Thanks to you, I will revisit it. As you said, "This isn't a one-time exercise." 👍
Patrick, this article does not simply sound like it was born out of a research project on a "topic of interest." It sounds like it was born out of life experiences that led you to some authentic "soul-searching" and then "practicing what you preach." The guidance in this article points to what I have been needing and seeking for a while. I have been wanting some direction as to how to do the "work" that points to awareness, growth, longer-term resilience, and results---not just words. You have articulated much of what I have been looking for in order to move forward in that process within myself. It reminds me a lot of the "character building" emphasis that Ben Bergeron talks about in his book, Chasing Excellence. I would be interested to know, Patrick, how you came to write this article, and some of your story--that is-- if you would be willing to share some of it. I realize that I may be late to this party. Others may know more of your story. I am new to your work, and this posting location. I am very drawn to the actual "work" represented here. I want more of it, and intend to pursue it. I recognize that my path is evolving and changing. The guidance in this article has sparked a need for more reflection and then action.
Thank you for such a well worded article. I love having this community to help me become the best version of myself.

This is pure gold. I discovered my Core Values some months ago with Bob Glazer's course and now I'm doing the same for my Vision and Anti-Vision.
Combining all three will help me even more to navigate life's tough decisions and be more confident that I'm going in the right way.
Thank you so much, Patrick.
Great one
