January’s Recommendation Round-Up
A curated collection of this month's top recommendations from friends of the show, featuring books, podcasts, and tools for better living.
We're excited about Momentous Omega-3, sourced from carefully selected anchovies, sardines, and mackerel with lower heavy metal levels. (Not to mention the extra steps they take with NSF testing to ensure safety standards are met.)
Its potent 1600mg combined EPA and DHA in a perfect 1:1 ratio sets this apart - plus no fishy aftertaste!
The benefits are impressive: it supports cognitive function, fights inflammation, and aids brain development.

🤔 SOME THOUGHTS
The gym is one of life's best classrooms - if you know where to look.
A few months ago, while doing Chad1000, I started thinking about the lessons I've learned over almost 20 years of doing CrossFit. (That workout is a particularly good opportunity to distract yourself with such thoughts.)
While certainly not a definitive list, here are five lessons the gym teaches us that are just as useful outside the gym as inside:
The heaviest weight to lift isn't on the barbell - it's the mental burden of judgment & expectation. Drop these 2 weights first.
Having like-minded people beside you doesn't reduce the weight of the challenge. But it transforms meaningless struggle into meaningful progress - and that makes any burden feel lighter.
People who rely on motivation fail. People who build the habit of consistently showing up succeed. Inspiration doesn't last, but habits will.
You can't know how strong you are until the weight gets heavy. Our clearest lessons always come after our hardest challenges.
You don't have to be good at the difficult thing to do the difficult thing. Of all the skills to master, the only one you need today is the skill of starting.
Ben & I plan to record an episode about these lessons next week. I’d love to incorporate your thoughts if you’ve got any. Just leave ‘em in the comments.
🙋🏽♀️ QUESTIONS
Do you have a question you'd like us to address in a future episode? We'd love to hear it!
We’ve got Chris Irwin back next week to continue our conversation about the Mind Killers that get in our way. If you haven’t listened to the first episode we had with him, I recommend it - we published it on Dec. 3rd.
Until then, keep chasing.
