1️⃣ Awareness
Happiness is often misunderstood and misdirected.
We frequently focus on what we lack rather than recognizing the abundance of things we don't want and don't have in our lives.
This perspective shift can be transformative.
When we step back and examine what truly creates lasting contentment, we discover it's not about accumulating more things we want, but rather appreciating our freedom from countless unwanted circumstances.
2️⃣ Intention
The 21-Day Happiness Challenge invites you to rewire your happiness perspective through daily practice and reflection.
Each day, you'll engage in three key activities:
Morning Gratitude: List 3 things you don't want that you don't have (illness, hardship, conflict, a poor marriage, etc)
Midday Check-in: Notice when you're focusing on what you want but don't have, and consciously shift to appreciation
Evening Reflection: Document one situation where you successfully shifted your perspective from lack to abundance
This challenge isn't about suppressing desires or ignoring goals.
Instead, it's about expanding our awareness to include the vast spectrum of positive circumstances we often overlook.
3️⃣ Action
First Steps:
Create a dedicated journal or digital space for your daily practice
Start small - focus on basic comforts and freedoms you might take for granted
Set reminders for your three daily check-ins
Obstacles to Watch For:
The tendency to return to scarcity thinking
Difficulty identifying things you don't want that you don't have
Resistance to acknowledging privilege and abundance
Tips for Success:
Partner with a friend to share insights and maintain accountability
Keep your lists visible throughout the day
Celebrate moments of perspective shift, no matter how small
Remember: This challenge isn't about forced positivity or ignoring real challenges. It's about developing a more complete perspective on your current reality and cultivating lasting contentment through awareness.

I love this! The wild thing about happiness is that it's not a feeling. It's a way of being, and that's great news because it means you can build your way into it with reflections like these!
