π£ Helping Who We Can Help, Navigating Negativity, Sunday Runday, & More
Hello, hello!
New week, new episode. π
This time around, we talk about the importance of maintaining endurance while doing CrossFit, the balance between promoting health and allowing indulgences, and managing the emotional journey of job hunting. We also answer a listener's question about how to navigate long-time friendships as people change.
β¨ Warmup Questions:
ππ½ββοΈΒ MOVE: Tom asked about balancing CrossFit workouts with endurance training, and we discuss strategies to integrate endurance activities into your weekly workout routine without overtaxing your body.
πΒ EAT: Mats raised a concern about the food choices for kids' birthday parties at CrossFit gyms, specifically the inclusion of pizza and soda. We talk about how to approach this issue and discuss the balance between promoting health and allowing occasional indulgences.
π€Β THINK: Harry, who recently moved from Switzerland to the UK and is in the process of job hunting, asked for tips to manage the emotional struggle that comes with this journey. We provide some book recommendations that can serve as a guide during this challenging time.
ππΎββοΈΒ Workout Topic:
Weβve got a question from Kannon, who wrote in to ask about what he could have done differently (if anything) after an old, estranged friend died by suicide after their lives went in separate directions. Hereβs a bit of his question:
As someone who tries to surround myself with people who have a positive impact on me and make me a better person, I decided not to reach out to my old friend.
When I found out my friend had committed suicide, I felt terrible for not reaching out.
Do you have any advice on what I could have done to help my friend while not putting myself in an unhealthy/unsafe environment?
