Hello, friends 👋

Here's a look at what came out this week, plus links to the full Listener Guides if you want to go deeper.

🎧 How to Persuade Yourself Into the Person You Want to Be (w/ Jay Heinrichs)

Jay Heinrichs — author of Thank You for Arguing and Aristotle’s Guide to Self-Persuasion — joins us to explore a 3,000-year-old technology that turns out to be the most powerful tool for personal transformation most of us have never used.

The conversation goes deep into why discipline so often fails us, what your soul is actually signaling when you feel that quiet flash of shame, and how to build the identity that makes hard things feel chosen rather than forced.

This episode’s for you if:

You’re ready to stop forcing yourself toward goals your soul never actually signed off on — and start becoming someone for whom doing hard things feels natural, not like a daily battle against yourself.
You keep grinding through habits and wondering why nothing sticks — because discipline has been quietly passing itself off as the solution when the real problem is that you haven’t persuaded yourself to actually want the thing.

🎧 Coaches Aren’t Essential. Here’s Why You Need One Anyway.

Ben breaks down three mentorship models — paid coach, peer expert trade, and tracking partner — and talks about what lies at the center of each: reciprocity.

We talk about understanding what you have to bring to a mentorship relationship and why curiosity, vulnerability, and patience are the price of admission before any of it works.

This episode’s for you if:

You’re ready to stop treating “I can figure this out alone” as a badge of honor — and start closing the gap faster by letting the right people see what you can’t see from inside your own experience.
You’ve been defaulting to the advice-giver role in almost every relationship because asking for help feels harder than staying comfortable in your own competence — and you’re starting to suspect that’s costing you.
