I always think my job as an animal control officer has helped me deal with constant disruptions, changes in direction and inconveniences better than the average person. I can be called away in the middle of making dinner or 15 minutes after I’ve fallen asleep at night so when I have minor inconveniences, it doesn’t bother me very much at all.👍
Sorry, I never saw your question. It can be anything to do with animals. I get mostly Wildlife calls and it all changes depending on the season. In the summer, it is usually bats and birds and snakes getting into peoples houses. Sometimes people call just because they see a wild animal and it’s not doing anything wrong. I am called for sick or injured wildlife, animals hit by cars all that kind of stuff. In the spring, it’s a lot of orphaned baby animals and tons of turtles because they’re all wandering all over the place to lay their eggs. In the fall and winter. There’s a lot of deer being hit by cars or complaints about the coyotes and foxes during their mating season. It changes all the time and you never know when something is going to happen. It’s a lot about educating the public and trying to teach them to get along with the wildlife.
Thank you for sharing. What an interesting job. I bet you always have a story to tell 😁 I never thought about it but makes sense it would be a lot of educating people.

I'm curious :) What kind of calls do you get as an animal control officer?

Yes. The animals usually know what they are doing. 🤣
